Armed subjects invaded the home of David Guadalupe Ramírez González, the municipal mayor of Tepuche, Sinaloa, on September 4, 2026. ^[1] The armed subjects kidnapped the mayor, David Guadalupe Ramírez González, during the attack at his residence. ^[2] The brother of the mayor died in a hospital after receiving a gunshot wound to the head. ^[3] The brother of the mayor was shot in the head by the armed subjects while attempting to prevent the kidnapping. ^[4] Manuel Enrique Ramírez González, 48, the brother of the kidnapped judge, was shot in the head while attempting to stop the kidnapping and died at the Hospital Civil de Culiacán. ^[5] David Guadalupe Ramírez González, the síndico of Tepuche in Sinaloa, was found dead after an ambush attack. ^[6] Authorities from the Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, the Policía Investigadora de la Fiscalía General del Estado de Sinaloa, and local corporations deployed an operation to search for the judge. ^[7] The attackers fled the scene with David Guadalupe Ramírez, and his whereabouts remain unknown as of Friday afternoon. ^[8] Manuel Ramírez González was declared dead at a hospital hours after the attack. ^[9] Ramírez González was missing since the morning of the attack, along with his brother Manuel. ^[10] The attack against Ramírez González occurred five months after he replaced a previous official who had been assassinated in March. ^[11]
