Police in Bogotá detained two men attempting to rob a gas station worker in the Provenza neighborhood of the Suba locality. ^[1] During the search, officers found a revolver with ammunition and a mobile phone that had been stolen from the victim on the suspects. ^[2] The Metropolitan Police of Bogota reported that a timely warning allowed officers to prevent a theft at a gas station in the Provenza neighborhood of Suba. ^[3] The two captured men, aged 33 and 34, were left at the disposal of the Fiscalía General de la Nación. ^[4] The two suspects attempted to flee upon noticing the police presence but were intercepted and captured by the officers. ^[5] One suspect was detained at the scene while the second suspect initially fled but was captured minutes later. ^[6] The suspects arrived on a motorcycle and intimidated the employee with a firearm to steal cash and fuel sales proceeds. ^[7] The suspects were charged with theft and the manufacturing, trafficking, and carrying of firearms and were turned over to the Fiscalía General de la Nación. ^[8]
