The Colombian Attorney General's Office confirmed the capture of two Venezuelan nationals in Manizales, Caldas, who were identified as leadership figures within the transnational criminal organization known as the Tren de Aragua. ^[1] On September 3, 2026, a joint operation by the Fiscalía General de la Nación, the DEA, and the Gaula of the Colombian Police captured two men in Manizales, Caldas, who are suspected leaders of the Tren de Aragua organization. ^[2] Richard José Espinal Quintero, alias 'Coty', and Henderson Adrián Villarroel Luque were identified as the captured suspects. ^[3] The two captured individuals are Venezuelan citizens and are identified as key leaders of the transnational criminal group known as the Tren de Aragua. ^[4] Henderson Adrián Villarroel Luque is alleged to be in command of an armed structure of the Tren de Aragua and would participate in activities related to obtaining and trafficking weapons for the illegal organization. ^[5] The suspects were identified as Richard José Espinal Quintero, alias 'Coty', and Henderson Adrián Villarroel Luque, who were sought via Interpol red notices and are required by Venezuelan judicial authorities. ^[6] The two men are required in Venezuelan territory for charges related to terrorism, financing of terrorism, trafficking of arms and ammunition, aggravated extortion, money laundering, and association to commit crimes. ^[7] The captured individuals are Richard José Espinal Quintero, alias Coty, and Henderson Adrián Villarroel Luque, alias El Patón, both of whom are requested by Venezuela through extradition requests. ^[8]
