A Chinese court ordered the freezing of 2.14 billion yuan, equivalent to $300 million, in assets of Nexperia and its equipment subsidiary. ^[1] Wingtech Technology, in a filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, said a court in Dongguan, China, froze 2.14 billion yuan (roughly $318 million) in assets held by Dutch chipmaker Nexperia and its equipment arm ITEC. ^[2] The Dongguan Intermediate People's Court issued the freeze order in a lawsuit filed by Wingtech Technology, the Chinese owner of Nexperia. ^[3] Wingtech Technology and its subsidiary sued Nexperia, its equipment division, the parent company, and three executives in May alleging discriminatory restrictions and claiming 8 billion yuan in damages. ^[4] Nexperia said the asset-freeze measures relate solely to entities in China operating outside Nexperia BV's governance structures and do not affect its day-to-day operations, management, or business continuity. ^[5] The Dongguan Intermediate People's Court civil ruling, which Wingtech said it received on 2026-08-28, freezes Nexperia B.V.'s 100% stakes in Nexperia Semiconductor (China), Nexperia Semiconductor (Wuxi), and Nexperia Semiconductor (Shanghai), its 99% holding in Nexperia Semiconductor Technology (Shanghai), and ITEC B.V.'s full stake in ITEC Technology (Wuxi). ^[6] Wingtech reported 1.51 billion yuan in H1 2026 sales, down more than 90% year-over-year, and a 406 million yuan net loss, with the total value of the frozen assets exceeding its entire first-half revenue. ^[7] The court order became effective between August 20 and August 25 and will remain in force until August 2029. ^[8]
