According to the Ministry of Employment and Labor, 280 workers died from falls last year, representing 32.1% of total industrial accident fatalities out of 872 deaths. ^[1] The Korea Scaffold Technology Institute opened its new southern headquarters in Gimhae City, Daedong Industrial Complex, featuring a practice facility and a large structure performance certification center. ^[2] The National Gimhae Forest Wellness Center, the largest comprehensive forest welfare facility in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, is scheduled to officially open in November in Gimhae City, South Korea. ^[3] The institute plans to gradually combine fall prevention training, functional grading systems, safety name registration, and AI-based safety verification to support safety management systems in construction, plants, power plants, and shipyards. ^[4] The new facility is designed to integrate education, training, work competency verification, structural performance certification, and on-site technical support into a single 'High-Altitude Work Safety Platform'. ^[5] The complex includes 18 buildings such as a visitor center, guest houses, lecture halls, and meditation rooms, with 54 guest rooms accommodating up to 128 people daily. ^[6] The facility is located in Geumdongsan, Sangdong-myeon, covering a total area of 177.7 hectares with a total investment of approximately 2.7 billion won over six years. ^[7] The center is designed as a barrier-free space accessible to all ages and physical conditions, including facilities for strollers and elderly visitors. ^[8]
