Carlos Slim Domit, President of the Boards of Administration for Grupo Carso and América Móvil, stated on September 4, 2026, that the Plan Mexico is the instrument for attracting investments to the country. ^[1] Carlos Slim Domit, president of the Board of Directors of América Móvil and Grupo Carso, stated that Mexico has important opportunities to attract private sector investment and accelerate economic growth through projects like Plan Mexico. ^[2] Carlos Slim Domit said that the Plan México has as a fundamental pillar the promotion of public, private, and mixed investment to reach levels of 25% to 28% of the Gross Domestic Product. ^[3] Carlos Slim Domit emphasized the need to maintain and expand investments in telecommunications to respond to the growth of new technologies and the demand for greater connectivity. ^[4] Carlos Slim Domit indicated that investments in technological evolution and connectivity expansion will be determining factors for Mexico's growth, where the project of President Claudia Sheinbaum to trigger investments could play an important role. ^[5] Carlos Slim Domit explained that national private investment is especially important for generating jobs, development, and substantially improving the socioeconomic level of the entire population. ^[6] Carlos Slim Domit stated that the increase in investments will allow for growth rates above 4%. ^[7] The Plan Mexico is a government initiative designed to attract foreign investment and stimulate economic development in Mexico. ^[8]
