The department of Tolima has been the most affected region, with nearly 50,000 hectares impacted during the last month. ^[1] The National Unit for Disaster Risk Management, Ungrd, reported on 2026-01-15 that 19 forest fires remained active across six departments in Colombia. ^[2] The mayor's office of Cali, Colombia, released an updated emergency status report on August 31, three weeks after the earthquake. ^[3] Of the 50,000 hectares affected in Tolima, approximately 28,000 hectares correspond to agricultural and livestock areas. ^[4] The Tolima Governor's office has opened a donation center in the first floor of its headquarters in Ibagué to receive items such as masks, gloves, non-perishable food, medicine, hygiene articles, diapers, clothing, bottled water, and oral rehydration salts. ^[5] 47,635 families have undergone damage and needs assessments, while 36,427 have been reported as affected. ^[6] Medicina Legal confirmed that all bodies of the victims have been returned to their families. ^[7] There are currently 16 active reports of missing persons, down from 17 due to validation processes. ^[8] Five of Key Biscayne's best-known soccer coaches donated their time this month to host a youth soccer camp. ^[9] The camp raised more than $4,500 for the relief efforts. ^[10] The total amount raised includes corporate matching funds. ^[11]
