US equity futures were lower with technology stocks underperforming as oil prices and bond yields moved higher in response to an acceleration in kinetic hostilities in the Middle East. ^[1] Stocks fell and bond yields remained elevated as intensified hostilities between the United States and Iran drove up oil prices and kept the possibility of interest rate hikes in major economies firmly on the table for September. ^[2] As of 8:00am ET, S&P futures were down 0.1%, while Nasdaq futures rose 0.4% after Dell shares jumped after the company boosted its annual sales forecast by $25 billion. ^[3] Traders put the odds of rate hikes this month at more than 50% for three major central banks, including nearly 70% for the Federal Reserve. ^[4] Brent crude oil traded around $95 per barrel after Washington carried out its second round of attacks against the Islamic Republic in three days. ^[5]
