A court in the Moscow region sentenced a woman named Kadeshnikova to one year in prison for fraud involving the search for missing individuals. ^[1] Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported on September 3 that between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Moscow Time on September 2, 548 unmanned aerial vehicles were heading toward the Moscow Region. ^[2] Kadeshnikova convinced a victim to transfer 480,000 rubles for the search of her brother, but failed to fulfill the obligation and stole the funds. ^[3] The court found that Kadeshnikova created an account in a messaging app to pose as a fortune teller and clairvoyant, offering services to find relatives missing in the special military operation. ^[4] Sergey Sobyanin stated that 143 of the 548 drones were destroyed as they approached Moscow. ^[5] The attack on September 2-3 was described as one of the largest attempted attacks on the Moscow Region in the last two years. ^[6] The court acknowledged the time Kadeshnikova spent in pre-trial detention and released her immediately after the verdict. ^[7] Sobyanin noted that from July 19 evening to July 20 5:00 a.m., more than 400 enemy drones were flying toward the capital region, with 85 destroyed as they approached. ^[8]
