Puerto Rico Police reported an armed carjacking at approximately 1:48 a.m. at playa Azul (Blue Beach) in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, in which a man was attacked and injured in the face. ^[1] Puerto Rico Police reported on September 2, 2026 that three armed individuals approached a man parked in the Playa Azul area of Luquillo at approximately 1:48 a.m. and threatened him to steal his belongings. ^[2] The man stated he was parked when three individuals approached him, and the assailants used guns and threats to make a robbery. ^[3] The police report states that the male was robbed on a gray 2008 Acura MDX with license plate HGN-611 and a leather wallet that contained $300 in cash and personal documents. ^[4] The victim alleged that the attackers, after declaring the robbery, struck him in the face and choked him by the throat until he lost consciousness. ^[5] According to Puerto Rico Police, the assailants struck the man in the face and choked him until he lost consciousness during the carjacking in Luquillo. ^[6] Puerto Rico Police reported that the suspects stole the victim's 2008 gray Acura MDX with license plate HGN-611 during the carjacking. ^[7] The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics but refused transport to a hospital; his condition was described as stable. ^[8]
