Colombian authorities killed Naín Andrés Pérez Toncel, alias 'Bendito Menor', and Rosa Angélica Tarazona, alias 'Bebecita', in a joint operation by the Army and Police in Riohacha, La Guajira, on September 3, 2026. ^[1] In January 2026, Pérez Toncel was involved in a massacre of five people in Maicao, after which the Ministry of Defense designated him as the main suspect and raised the reward for information leading to his capture to 500 million pesos. ^[2] Naín Andrés Pérez Toncel, alias 'Bendito Menor', was considered one of the most important figures within the Autodefensas Conquistadoras de la Sierra Nevada (ACSN) and joined the structure in 2019 as a hitman for alias 'Pinocho'. ^[3] The police operation was conducted by the National Police (Policía Nacional) in the municipality of Riohacha. ^[4] The operation was carried out by units of the Special Operations and Antiterrorism Command of the Colombian National Police. ^[5] Two other men who were serving as Toncel's security escorts also died during the operation in the Los Olivos neighborhood near Almirante Padilla Airport. ^[6] The bodies were reportedly transferred to Medicina Legal in Riohacha, where identification procedures are underway to establish the identities of the deceased and the circumstances of the operation. ^[7] The Autodefensas Conquistadoras de la Sierra Nevada (ACSN), formerly known as 'Los Pachenca,' has been the target of a government offensive that has reportedly neutralized over 30 armed group members in recent weeks. ^[8]
