The body of a man with visible injuries was found on the side of the Carretera a Nuevo Laredo in Ciénega de Flores, Mexico. ^[1] The body of a man, presumed to have been struck by a vehicle, was found on the highway to Nuevo Laredo in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León. ^[2] A driver of a cargo truck lost control of the vehicle and overturned it while traveling through a road complex in Ciénega de Flores. ^[3] Initial inspections conducted by security officials indicated that the victim was likely struck by a vehicle. ^[4] The vehicle responsible for the incident fled the scene after striking the victim. ^[5] Preliminary investigations have established a hit-and-run as one of the main lines of inquiry, suggesting the man was struck by a vehicle traveling north. ^[6] The victim presented multiple fractures, which led to the case initially being reported as a possible homicide. ^[7] The victim was estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old and was located outside a business at kilometer 26 of the highway. ^[8]
