A road accident occurred on the La Gloria-Colombia highway in the municipality of Anáhuac. ^[1] One person died as a result of the road accident. ^[2] A draft ruling by the 11th Collegiate Court in Administrative Matters of the First Circuit maintains the suspension of construction of two towers (36 and 20 floors) of phase three of the Be Grand Alto Polanco project in the Anáhuac neighborhood, first section, Miguel Hidalgo borough, Mexico City. ^[3] The draft ruling would require Mexico City's Secretariat of the Environment (Sedema) to establish a monitoring scheme to guarantee the effectiveness of prevention, mitigation, and compensation measures regarding water availability, tree restoration and compensation, and waste management and disposal. ^[4] Alejandro Castañón Ramírez, magistrate president of the 11th Collegiate Court in Administrative Matters of the First Circuit, admitted in his draft ruling that the measures Sedema ordered when granting the conditional environmental impact authorization are insufficient due to the absence of mechanisms to verify their functionality. ^[5] The resolution grants amparo protection to neighbors from the Verónica Anzures neighborhood who promoted the amparo, but does not revoke the administrative resolution with which Sedema granted the conditional environmental impact authorization, nor does it order the suspension of the project itself. ^[6] The incident was reported by Seguridad01 on September 2, 2026. ^[7]
