Elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) in coordination with the General Attorney's Office (FGJ) of Mexico City executed five arrest warrants for kidnapping, crimes against public health, and aggravated robbery in the boroughs of Iztapalapa, Gustavo A. Madero, and Álvaro Obregón. ^[1] A control judge in Mexico City imposed official pretrial detention on Arturo 'N' for his probable responsibility in the qualified homicide of trans activist Paola Buenrostro. ^[2] Four of the arrest warrants were executed in prisons in the capital, while one was executed on the streets of Álvaro Obregón. ^[3] In the Eastern Male Preventive Prison in Iztapalapa, two men aged 24 and 47 were notified; the 24-year-old had an arrest warrant for aggravated express kidnapping, and the 47-year-old was required for aggravated robbery with two prior prison entries in 2007 and 2025 for crimes against public health. ^[4] In the Northern Male Preventive Prison in Gustavo A. Madero, two other men aged 21 and 37 were notified for investigations related to express kidnapping and crimes against public health, respectively. ^[5] Kenya Cuevas, a friend and activist of Paola Buenrostro, expressed dissatisfaction with the prosecution's classification of the case as qualified homicide instead of transfeminicide. ^[6] The defense of the accused requested an extension of the constitutional deadline, with the judge to determine if there are sufficient elements to link him to the process on September 4 at 8:30 AM. ^[7] The General Attorney's Office of Justice of the City of Mexico (FGJ CDMX) sustained the accusation of qualified homicide committed by firearm. ^[8]
